In our gourmet restaurant, we love to amaze and astonish our guests. No matter how many times we step out onto our glass loggia and look out over the parapet of the panorama terrace at the stunning, cinematic views of Merano, we always find something new to marvel at in the ravishingly beautiful natural surroundings. There couldn’t be a more ideal setting for the exquisite dishes prepared by our head chef Christoph Terschan. A culinary virtuoso, Christoph fuses the many facets of regional cuisine with the memorable delicacies he has encountered in far-away lands in the course of his career. These reinterpretations make for immensely rich and creative food. Whether it’s an agreeable lunch you partake of, or a sumptuous gourmet dinner, you will invariably have a sense of savoring life to the full. The sublime cuisine is of course rounded off by impeccable yet affectionate service and the excellent advice of our sommelier when choosing from the fine wines in our cellar.

Surrounded by the stunning mountain scenery of South Tyrol, our youthful head chef Christoph Terschan creates hearty gourmet cuisine on the highest niveau. Deeply enrooted in the Alpine region yet with long-standing experience as a chef in legendary restaurants in Portugal, Holland and South Africa, Christoph’s unmistakable style is characterized by a rare fusion of the Alpine and the Mediterranean. His compositions combine the familiar with the unexpected in a manner that is as passionate as it is graceful, beguiling even the most seasoned palates.
Breakfast like a king
So goes the old saying, and it’s one we’ve taken to heart. Our royal buffet is our pride and joy. It goes without saying that all our specialities are fresh and homemade. We offer everything you could wish for: mouth-watering bread, croissants fresh from the oven and South Tyrolean pastries, served with fruit jams and chutneys, creamy nut spread or delicacies from the cheese counter with antipasti – or would you prefer muesli, nuts and fruit from the fresh fruit bar?
It’s all accompanied by freshly pressed juices and teas made with herbs and flowers from our garden. And there’s also prosecco for anyone who would like to get the day off to a sparkling start. A selection of three warm dishes can also be ordered from the gourmet menu.
Our award-winning restaurant isn’t just for our guests. From Wednesday to Sunday lovers of fine food can dine at our restaurant even if they’re not staying at the Fragsburg. However, since there are only a limited number of tables available, please make a reservation in advance.
